The services provided have developed from my consistent work with choirs, musicals, bands, and other musicians who regularly require my skill. I've provided services in music for over a decade, and new projects are always exciting and rewarding for me.  All of my work is done using the most current computer software for professional results, and samples of this work can be found in the appropriate categories below.

Only the most requested services are listed here, but other services may also be available.  Please call if you haven't found what you're looking for within this website. I prefer to price each job separately, however a good gauge of the costs would be around $40 to $50 per hour depending on the service required.

 

Accompaniment:

Accompanists are sometimes hard to find, and circumstances do arise where short notice is the only notice. I am an experienced accompanist with an excellent ability for sight reading. I also maintain a call list of other competent accompanists and musicians who I work with regularly and who I trust as responsible performers. If it should happen that I'm already booked, i can refer the right musician for your needs.

If budget constraints make it difficult to hire a regular accompanist, consider using my Recording or Karaoke services.

Arrangement:

Sometimes a piece is found for an ensemble to perform, but an aspect of the arrangement doesn't work well.  More or less parts, different instrumentation, the level of difficulty, or the style may all need adjustments.  I'm often asked to rearrange pieces to suit a group's numbers or ability.

Also, I'm able to create new arrangements for pieces by listening to a recording of that piece and discussing the details of what's required in the new arrangement.  This is useful if a recording is available, but printed music can't be found or goes out of print. Some of my arrangements are available for sale in the Publications area of this website.

Recording:

I operate a recording space in my home with access to larger facilities. I work with Protools LE 8 and the Digi002 rack allowing up 8 simultaneous inputs and 32 simultaneous audio tracks (128 virtual).

I also use a Mac laptop for portability allowing me to bring my recording equipment anywhere for live performance recordings.

Karaoke:

I find myself being asked more and more to create karaoke recordings of pop band, musical theatre, and choral accompaniment music with instruments like drums, guitar, piano, wind, brass, bass, strings, etc. This is often for use when a soloist or ensemble want to perform with the full sound of all the instruments playing along, but can't afford to hire an accompanist, a band, or an orchestra.

The majority of this work comes to me when a recording of a song exists, but the words are being sung on that recording preventing it from being used in a performance. I'm then asked to take the recording and re-record all the parts, creating the new karaoke type recording. I often email the audio files back and forth with my clients, which saves a lot of time and shipping costs.

Charting & Transposing:

Often soloists or ensembles require a song, or an accompaniment to be rewritten in a different key to accommodate vocal range or instrumentation.  I use the most current software to produce clear, readable printouts of the music in the new keys.  Also, once the music has been entered in the computer, any key is easily printable for a fraction of the initial cost and time.

Band Charts can be made for any type of band including, military bands/orchestras, cover bands, pop, rock, jazz, etc. Details that can be included in a chart include chord changes, lyrics, individual instrumental parts, vocal lines, guitar fingering charts, rehearsal letters, bar numbers, etc.

CD & DVD Duplication:

I can produce full CD and DVD packages with graphics printed directly on the disc media using the TEAC P-55 thermal disc printer which produces 400 DPI or 290 LPI in CMYK (full color), the highest resolution available in the industry today for a photo quality print.
